Week 3 In the MTC!

This week has been really good, but I am starting to get tired of the MTC schedule and am eager to get to the Philippines. Let's see This week started of with an amazing Tuesday Night Devotional with Moms favorite Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of The Quorum of the 12 Apostles! He is such a loving man, and as soon as he walked into the room I could feel the spirit he carried with him. He talked about missionary work and its importance! It was such an amazing talk and got me absolutely pumped to get into the field.

Next up, a member of our district has sadly headed home. Elder Finch is a great great man and it was sad to see him leave, but he had some important stuff to take care of. He said he would see us in the Philippines and I don't doubt it.

But honestly not much has happened this week. My testimony of our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ is growing exponentially, and I love it. Though in the dorms it has been getting crazy! Buzz cuts, water gun fights and much much more that I won't get into the details too much for y'alls sake haha. But there have been "Choir and The Spoken Word" concerts every night in the showers with spiritual thoughts, most of the time it is appropriate church songs, but they will have the occasional Katy Perry or Post Malone in there as well! Let's just say a bunch of 18 year old boys are starting to get bored of the MTC schedule and are finding very, very creative ways to stay occupied haha.

Other than that Elder Cope, my companion, and I are getting to the point where we are just about able to get our points across while teaching others in Tagalog. We have been practicing with everyone all the time. We love doing it! The lessons are fun because we don't know a lot of Tagalog, so it makes us switch off teaching every sentence or so, which makes our teaching go a lot smoother actually. We are able to feel out when the other is wrapping up their thought, and when they finish the other will hop right into it almost seamlessly making it flow pretty well actually! It is fun to see the little progress we have been making with our hard work!

But that's about it. I love and miss you guys! Talk to you soon!

Elder Morgan

These pics are of the laundry room and where I look out to ponder during personal study everyday! Elder cope and I love this view because it's the only place that is quiet and peaceful during our personal study. It is actually quite hard to find quiet places in the MTC but this spot never fails.

He Made it to Naga! (and survived his first Typhoon)

Hey lovely parents!  We had a level 3 Typhoon here the other day, it was pretty cool, and scary. Luckily it didn't hit us directly. But there was a lot of rain and very, very strong wind. Also I have heard Naga gets hit with the hardest Typhoons, so it should be fun! Anyways, I leave tomorrow morning at 3:50 AM hopping on a plane to Naga. I think my P-Days will be switching to Monday, but I am still not sure. It will be fun to finally be in the mission, and to see the area. I've heard I have the best mission president out there, who I am excited to meet. I'm also excited to get my machete :) I love y'all very much and miss you! Talk to ya next week! -Isaac Dear Morgans, This is Sister Hansen. President and I are so happy to welcome Elder Morgan to the Philippines Naga Mission! He is well and just met his new companion. We just wanted you to know he arrived safely and that his P-days will be on Mondays. We love him already and look forward to serving with him here! Warml...

Dalawang pogi

Hey hey. This week has been awesome! Here's why... We were lucky enough to have held a service project at the local police station. It went great. We cleaned their alleyway and they gave us snacks. I guess it was a win win. We then got to celebrate the good ole 1 year mark with barbecue and root beer floats. Which is quite limited here in the Philippines. Following the celebration, we had Zone Conference. I loved it! We focused on the difference between a testimony and conversion. And how we can help our interested people become converted unto the Lord. Zone Conference was then followed with exchanges. It was me and another american. His name is Elder Barzee. He is an awesome guy, and an even better missionary. We ended up finding a lot of new people to teach. While on exchanges, we went to dinner right. As we were eating we hear someone yell from behind us "marhay na banggi po sa inyong dalawang pogi" which in english translates too "good evening to you two handsome...

A Typhoon in the Middle of Summer!

Hey yall!  What an absolute amazing week it has been! It has been filled with funny stories and crazy experiences. We started off this week having a great day of missionary work. We were teaching and serving the amazing people of the Philippines, when all of the sudden we got a call from the Zone Leaders. They told us a big Typhoon was on its way to hit our area... we were instructed to pack up for 3 days, and go to Lagonoy ( a bigger city outside of our area. ) We were told to not leave Lagonoy until instructed otherwise. So we didn't. As the night went on we were really expecting so to see a big typhoon start to take way, but it didn't happen. There was a little bit of rain fall and some wind but, that was it. The next day came by and there still was no typhoon... we were wondering what to do. Do we work? Do we go back to our area? We ended calling the Zone Leaders, and they said to stay in Lagonoy until everything had passed. So we stayed and worked in their area.  As a Dis...
