Hey Y'all!
This week has been awesome! I have finally met my son! His name is Elder Jacinto from Tarloc. His native language is Ilokano, which I am dedicated to learn haha. That would make my 4th new language in the mission. Tagalog, Rinconada, Bikol, and hopefully Ilokano! But he is really a cool guy. We have been having tons of fun already! And even better I got to spend two days in the "Land of Temptation" in order to pick him up!
We here in Philippines Naga Mission have a saying that Naga City is the "Land of Temptation." This is due to the many possibilities in Naga. There are super big malls, kinda like the ones in America, McDonalds, Theaters, Golfing... the list goes on and on. And it is the only area in our mission that has all of that. And needless to say there happen to be a lot of disobedient missionaries in Naga haha... i was a little nervous to see what would happen. I had heard some pretty crazy stories about Naga City. But our work there actually turned out so great! We knocked doors, talked to people in the streets, and got to share about the Gospel of Jesus Christ! On the downside I ended up spending 2,000 pesos in 2 days:(McDonalds got the best of me for real...
I am absolutely loving missionary work! I love serving the Lord everyday. I wish you all the best!
Elder Morgan
